Attitude is Everything

Short and sweet, what I’m talking about is attitude. A positive attitude is the ticket to life. Once you’ve got it, treasure it, keep it safe—heck, laminate it if you can figure out how—so that it can never become tattered or defaced.

Attitude is one thing in life that can never be taken from you. It’s part of your personal style. Attitude is more important than money, jobs, education, possessions, relationships, even the roof over our heads. It can make a house a home, unite a family, and make friendship a true communion of spirits.

Attitude makes things happen. I know, because it did for me.

When I gave up my bad attitudes and self-defeating thinking, I also locked up my past, threw it down a deep, dark hole, and tossed away the key forever. Then I really started to live. I began to pursue my dreams, full speed ahead. I took a look at what was good and right about me, and, in turn, I began to draw out what was good and right in everyone around me. It didn’t all happen at once: as you know, my journey took a long, long time, and in many ways, it continues still.

The little girl who could never smile became a kind, strong, giving, powerful woman who rarely stops smiling. The ugly duckling who was shy and awkward came to understand that she was beautiful, not just because she learned what made her look good on the outside, but because she developed the potential for loveliness that resides in all our souls, namely that inner beauty that causes our outer edge to radiate life…

After all, belief in your beliefs and belief in yourself is all you have. Nobody can take those things away from you: turning inward and upward can strengthen both.
