A darling friend commissioned me to create an original to hang in her optical shop. Georgeann is a confidant, trend-setting gal and that is precisely why I have always admired her. She had only three small requests before I began painting. One, the gorgeous chubbie should wear spectacles, but of course. Two, her adoring pooch, Beau had to be present, as he is in her store. Three, the yummy green hue used to offset her furnishings. The rest was imagination and since I had just returned from a bicycle trip in Maine and had the spiritual experience of seeing the sunrise from the summit on Mt. Cadillac, I knew that had to be the backdrop.
