American Heart Association asked if I would donate my work for their annual auction, thus the title, American Heart. My darling father died in 1988 of heart complications. His effervescent spirit was with me all the while I was painting this piece. There’s a whole lot of unconditional love on this canvas. I hope it resonates with those who view it.
