Gosh. When you read the headline above, I’ll bet it seems like I never sit down. And that’s pretty much true. (Except for the monthly Saturday morning spent lying on the couch, watching movies in my jams. Love it.)

All the action seems to make time fly, and it’s already been eleven whole years since joniarredia.com first appeared on the web. In that time, I have grown up a great deal professionally, emotionally, and spiritually.

The forties were splendid years. Foxy and forty, I always say. Now, I’m two years into my fifties and loving every minute of it.

My husband and I are living right in the heart of downtown Chicago. We walk everywhere and find ourselves constantly amazed with the eclectic souls, sites, sounds, arts, and myriad of cultures we encounter. It’s a constant evolution which thoroughly inspires me to continue learning.

In addition to my painting, motivational speaking, and writing, I have been pursuing professional training as an actor. You see how the adventures can be endless? I am grateful for all of them and those still to come.

The fear of trying something new—something that I’m not versed in—is what grounds me and helps me grow, bringing a renewed contentment, excitement, and ability to talk about the beauty of life with you.

Through the grace of God and the love of my family and friends, I have managed to keep my core beliefs and fundamental values intact by looking for the best in every person and situation I encounter.

In a nutshell, what I do is reflect goodness—something I hope you do, too. It makes for a remarkable life, doesn’t it though?
